OMHSAS Announcements

April 24, 2009

1. The Montgomery County Department of Behavioral Health in collaboration with the Deaf Services Center and OMHSAS, is in the process of designing and implementing a statewide Warmline for individuals with mental illness who are Deaf and use American Sign Language (ASL). This Warmline will be staffed by Certified Peer Specialists who are Deaf and native sign users.  In order to proceed with the development of the statewide Warmline it would be most helpful to indentify individuals who may be interested in using this service, either from their home or from designated site(s) within your County. Please answer the questions on this attachment by May 1 and return to the address on the attached letter.
