Pennsylvania Advocacy Summit Brochure
On September 28, 2010, the PA Mental Health Consumers’ Association, Disability Rights Network of PA, and MHAPA sponsored an advocacy summit. Mental health consumer, family, and advocate leadership from across the Commonwealth participated in the day long event. The goal of the summit was to develop regional advocacy coalitions to educate, include, and mobilize. Presentations regarding Olmstead planning, state budget, and health care reform were provided. A strategic planning session was also conducted, and participants identified regional action steps. Each attendee received a summit booklet, which includes the summit agenda, presentations, advocacy tools, and strategies and resources.
